Dr. Don Cyr is an Associate professor of Finance at Brock University, St. Catharines, Ontario and the Associate Dean for graduate programs and research within the Faculty of Business.
His teaching focuses on corporate finance, international finance and investments and carries out research in all of these areas.
He holds an MBA, a Masters in Economics and a PhD in Finance and has been teaching at the university level since 1990.
Don is the recipient of a number of teaching awards and in addition to publishing research in Finance, he has authored several professional training programs
for the investment industry as well as a textbook on Corporate Finance. He has also consulted for a number of organizations and firms.
Dr. Howell is the head of Kanangra Ratings Advisory Services, based in Sydney, Australia. David was previously co-head of the Asia-Pacific Project Finance unit of Moody’s Investors Service – one of the major global
ratings agencies. Dr. Howell has been working in the financial markets for 20 years, in Sydney, New York and London. He has gained experience in all
forms of financing from equity to debt. The majority of his experience has been in project finance, and he has financed mines, process plant, power stations,
water treatment works, hospitals, toll roads and other infrastructure.
During his career he has headed the Specialised Finance and Corporate Banking divisions of NatWest Markets in North America, the Project Advisory Team of
National Australia Bank in Sydney and has lead the Mining Project Finance Team at Westpac Banking Corporation.
David has a PhD in coal geology and is a graduate of the Australia Institute of Company Directors.
Andrei Manoukovski is the President of Krescendi Inc., a Toronto based private equity firm specializing in Canadian innovative private companies.
Prior to founding Krescendi, he was Managing Partner of an international project finance and real estate development group based in Moscow.
Andrei founded and was Dean of one of the first business schools in Russia – International Business School of Moscow (IBS-M),
which later became The Institute of Business Studies (Moscow).
Andrei’s academic background includes 15 years teaching international economic relations and specializing in Russian political &
business environment at: Moscow State Institute of International Relations; Institute of Business Studies (Moscow); INSEAD (Fontainebleau, France);
Danish Management Centre (Copenhagen, Denmark); and Darden Graduate School of Business Administration (University of Virginia, USA).
Andrei holds an Honour Bachelor Degree (International Economic Relations and World Trade) and a PhD Degree in Economics (International Energy Problems and
International Trade in Energy Sectors) from Moscow State Institute of International Relations. He is also a graduate of the following Executive programs:
"Top Executive Program” at Darden Graduate School of Business Administration; “Strategic Management and Organisational Behaviour” at Harvard Graduate
School of Business Administration and “Financial Analysis Program” at Richard Ivey School of Business, University of Western Ontario (Canada).
Andrei is actively involved in cultural and charitable organisations: Chairman of the Toronto Chamber Orchestra (since 2003); Chairman of the Cedar Ridge
Classical Pops Festival (since 2002); and was a Board member of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra from 1998 to 2004.
Andrei is the author of numerous books and articles on world economy and management and is fluent in English, Russian and French.
